On Saturday, 15th June 2019, Nusrat Senior Secondary School graduated over 500 students of the 2018/19 batch in a colourful ceremony held at the school grounds. The students have completed their three-year study program in the school.

At the ceremony, Mr Karamo S. Bojang expressed high hopes that this batch will beat the previous one in their performance in the external examination. The previous batch maintained an eighty percent pass rate. That means eighty percent of the candidates who sat for the exams scored five credits and above. This means that they were all eligible to be admitted into the University of The Gambia.

The Guest of Honour Ms Fatoumatta A Camara, currently a final year law student of the UTG, advised the graduands to take their own paths and never allow naysayers to distract them. She said they should have a passion and pursue their dreams.

A former student of the school, Mr Gibairu Janneh, a Chevening Scholar and current Head of Communications at the National Assembly of The Gambia also gave words of wisdom to the graduating students.

Mr Alieu Bittaye, Cost Accounting teacher spoke on behalf of the staff of Nusrat Senior Secondary School. He quoted the resilience of many people who became well-known in the world despite many odds and obstacles. He told the graduands that they should not be afraid of failure; rather, he urged them to look at it as a stepping stone for success.

The ceremony was chaired by Mr Musa Bah, a teacher at the school.
